      Yolanda Lewis-Lightsy
Yolanda, affectionately called Fuzzy, by many who know her, was born in Chicago. She has been a faithful member of Christian Missionary Baptist Church for 38 years.
She was baptized under the late Pastor, John Taylor at New Progressive Baptist Church, (before CMBC had a baptismal pool), when she was 7 years old. She continues to serve faithfully under Pastor Robert E. Harper.

Yolanda's family members, most CMBC members, are her parents, Mr. Aaron and Mrs. Varletta    Lewis, and her siblings, Aaron Jr., Vernell, Demetrius, DeAndre, April and Rhonda.

Yolanda attended and graduated from St. Helena of the Cross Catholic School, Finger High School and Northern Illinois University. She married Jeffery Lightsy (deceased) in 1994, and they had a daughter, Laquisha. Yolanda is now the proud grandmother of 2 precious little grandsons, Damari and Domari. They are members of the Little Warriors Sunday School class, taught by 1st Lady Laura Harper.

Yolanda is a quiet and impressionable young Christian woman. She is very supportive and loyal to her Church. Through the years, she has served in many capacities here at CMBC: As a Trustee, New Membership Class Teacher, Choir Member, Junior Usher's Supervisor, and she also performs many other  functions around the Sanctuary.

Yolanda has been employed as a Manager at Sally's Beauty Supply Stores, Inc. for 20+ years. In 1997 she received a well deserved honor when she was voted outstanding "Employee of The Year".

CMBC salutes Trustee Yolanda Lewis-Lightsy as a very inspiring Christian woman around the temple. She truly has made herself available to her Pastor and the members of the Church.

"Thank You" Fuzzy, for the teaching, training and nurturing you give on behalf of the CMBC family and Pastor Harper. We are truly better and blessed because you are here!
Continue on your spiritual journey as you are truly on the right course"!
