Sister Parker has done great work in the Church. She has served as Vice President of the Mother's & Mission's Ministry, a member of Sunday School Class 4B, Secretary of the Senior Club and she has volunteered to help serve the Community for Thanksgiving and Christmas food basket/donations. In fact, she helped with the start-up of the CMBC Food Pantry many years ago.
Before retirement, Sister Parker worked at Mercy Hospital in the Surgery Department for 30 years. Today she is a mentor to many, and remains strong as she fulfills her duties of being a well respected matriarch to her family.
Her special hobby for many years was sewing. She loved to design and make beautiful outfits for herself, and others. Today she wears beautiful hats and is a very fashionable dresser. She can be seen sporting a friendly smile, which goes well with her classy style!

This month, we proudly honor Sister Elora Parker, lovingly called "Mickie" by family and close friends. She has been a very loving, faithful and dutiful member of CMBC for more than 35 years.
Sister Parker was married to the late Trustee, Charles Parker for 19 years, and was the sister of the late Deacon Johnnie Hayes and the mother of the late Rev. Michael Davis. She is the proud grandmother of six and great-grandmother of eight, of whom most are CMBC members.
