  Sister Charlotte Shannon

The oldest of her seven siblings, she is family oriented, dedicated to her mother, and is always there for her entire family. She has a loving, giving, and kind heart. Sister Shannon enjoys cooking and serving food at family gatherings and proudly takes care of her nephew/son, Amon Shannon.

As a hobby, she enjoys shopping at her favorite store, Sears in the Chicago Ridge Mall. Instead of finding  bargains, just for herself, she'll sometimes spot items that a family member might want or need, and she'll pick it up for them. This is an example of just how kind hearted she is!
The color red is her favorite, because there's power in the blood of Jesus! She really looks great in that color, "she's the lady in red!"

Sister Shannon is an inspiring and energetic woman who loves the Lord and doesn't mind showing it and telling others about the goodness of God. She's known to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord", and says "he is the source of her strength and the strength of her life"! Whenever she is going through a situation, she says it's only a test and gives the Lord total praise!

The CMBC Family loves and appreciates you, Sister Charlotte Shannon! Be encouraged, stay inspired because doing a good job is not about trying to impress others, but its about what you do for Christ and helping others through pure love and dedication that matters. Keep doing the work that pleases God!

Sister Charlotte Shannon has a vibrant personality and can be seen sporting her infectious smile as she greets church members. She is the daughter of Mother Myrtle Meeks, CMBC emeritus nurse. She's a very dedicated member and currently serves as a nurse with the Nurse's Ministry. She is faithful to God, attends Sunday School regularly and makes herself available to assist Pastor Harper and the congregation. She gives her support to others through prayer and is always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement when needed.
She is such a caring and helpful spirit that before her health began to decline, she would use her gift to help sick and elderly individuals by voluntarily working in Nursing Homes and rendering home help/care.
Sister Shannon even takes the time to help serve and assist the Senior Mothers with their breakfast on Sunday mornings.
