CMBC would like to honor Sister Annie Fullilove for the month of October 2011.
Annie Fullilove has been a member of CMBC for more than forty years. You can spot her sitting towards the front of the sanctuary after fulfilling teaching duties for Sunday School Class 4B. Annie has been married to Bro. James Fullilove for 45 years. He is a dedicated member who serves with the Senior Usher’s Ministry. Annie serves faithfully as treasurer of the CMBC Sunday School Department. She and James have a loving son, Travis, who is currently on duty with the armed forces. Their beloved daughter, Evelyn, who also was a member of CMBC, passed away in 2000. The Fulliloves enjoy spending quality time with their five grandchildren who now live in Indiana.
Annie worked 21 long years for the City of Chicago Water Department before retiring in 2010. She has a very loving, kind and generous heart and often helps those who are in need. That alone is a precious attribute.
Annie and James are also very giving and supporting of CMBC during the holidays. For many years, the Fulliloves have donated several turkeys and canned goods during our Holiday Basket
Give-Aways. Each year Annie contacts the coordinator of the program and say, "When are you coming to pick them up?" and not do you need them. They have truly blessed us and will be blessed with such a giving spirit.
Annie is sometimes referred to as a “world class seamstress” because of her great sewing skills. She once took sewing classes and was awarded a certificate by a famous fashion designer (lovingly called Ms. Williams) who designed clothes for Chicago musical groups including Commissioner, Jerry Butler. Each year she makes a number of young ladies very happy as she designs and crafts their beautiful prom gowns. Her skills/talent in this area is immeasurable.
Annie truly loves God and enjoys reading and studying his Holy Word. She enjoys vacationing with James, especially taking road trips for family reunions and an occasional Cruise with relatives and close friends.
